My name is Furkan Akmese and I'm a 24 year old software engineer and aspiring musician from The Netherlands. Keep scrolling if you wanna know more about me.
I graduated from Windesheim university of applied sciences, Zwolle in 2022 with a Bacholor in software engineering. Before that I finished a vocational education in the same field and I've been working as a mobile app developer for around five years now. I've worked with frameworks like React (Native) and Vue.js but I mostly develop iOS & Android apps in Flutter. I've done general backend programming in Python and PHP but I consider myself to be mostly a frontend developer.
As a music lover with a perpetually growing vinyl collection I have always been interested in making music.
My journey started when I picked up a guitar when I was little and ever since I haven't been able to put it down.
With over ten years of experience teaching myself to play I've not only learned a lot but also broadened my horizon by taking up playing the piano(around 4 years) and as of late taking singing lessons. My musical influences range from Pantera to Paganini and there's so much I still want to learn in terms of music.
Aside from just playing I'm also taking part in online courses on the art of music production and I taught myself to build guitars from scratch. The result of which being the Stratocaster I'm holding.
For those who are knowledgeable about lutherie I put in a Gibson '57 humbucker, Fender Texas Special single coils, 500k pots and a Vita-Q resistor to get as close to the tone of my musical heroes as possible.

A cryprocurrency tracking app for everyone. Made during an internship with React-Native for iOS and Android. Backend is made with Django.
A mobile app that connects to a temp agency's website and lets the user control their data from there. Made with Dart and Flutter for both iOS and Android.
An app for checking surf swell forecasts. Much like Magicseaweed but better looking and more user friendly. As of now unfinished.
