My name is Furkan Akmese and I'm a 25 year old software engineer and musician from The Netherlands. Keep scrolling if you wanna know more about me.
I graduated from Windesheim university of applied sciences, Zwolle in 2022 with a Bacholors degree in software engineering. Before that I finished a vocational education in the same field and I've been working as a mobile app developer for around five years now. I've worked with frameworks like React (Native) and Vue.js but I mostly develop iOS & Android apps in Flutter. I've done general backend programming in Python and PHP but I consider myself to be mostly a frontend developer.
I've been a mostly self-taught musician for over ten years. Music is my biggest passion and I'm always trying to grow and improve by learning new instruments, playing with other musicians and writing my own music. My main instrument is guitar and besides just playing, I also enjoy building them. My musical influences range from early blues players like Eric Clapton, Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan to bands like Van Halen and Aerosmith. I'm very versatile and love to play in many different genres, from bluegrass pickin' to hair metal. You can check out this link to see some of my covers.

A cryprocurrency tracking app for everyone. Made during an internship with React-Native for iOS and Android. Backend is made with Django.
A mobile app that connects to a temp agency's website and lets the user control their data from there. Made with Dart and Flutter for both iOS and Android.
An app for checking surf swell forecasts. Much like Magicseaweed but better looking and more user friendly. As of now unfinished.
